QI DAN



INGREDIENTS: FILTERED WATER, SUGAR, KOMBUCHA STARTER, QI DAN TEA
Called “Mystery Red” and descended from one of the oldest tea cultivars in the Wuyi region, Qi Dan enduringly remains one of the best expressions of the region’s spicy, minerally redolent finishes (famously known to develop on the tongue even after the last sip)

We ply Qi Dan’s trademark aftertaste with a straighfroward kombucha ferment. The tea’s translation via fermentation develops a uniquely deep acid profile which both enhances and softens the sharpness of the original tea.  

Deeply resinous, our ferment expresses a deep volcanic character with notes of plum, hardwoods,and baking spice with a luxurious, coating mouthfeel. Pairs excellently with loud cheeses, gamey meat, or as an accompaniment for a holiday feast (incidentally aiding in digestion).  

Enjoy at a chilled red wine temperature or higher, and allow the bottle to breath for a few minutes for maximum impact.
