Here’s where we’ll host some trial-runs, one-offs, experimental blends, or anything good enough to share that hasn’t made it into our main production. Feel free to give us a shout if we make something here that you just can’t live without.

Produced by an innovative, women-led team in the Nilgiri mountains of southern India, the teas behind these two offerings are a love letter to the region in two contrasting styles.

The Nilgiri Coonoor offers several of the taste notes one might expect in an Assam or Darjeeling, but with a flinty, highly aromatic character with a subtle dried fruit sweetness. Our ferment unpacks and intensifies the piquant, peppery character of the tea while also boosting its intoxicating peach-like sweetness.
Think: coriander, candied orange peel, and medjool date.

On the other side of the spectrum, the Nilgiri green is radical take on the traditions of the area - made from the the same harvest as the Coonoor, but produced as a green tea in a traditional Chinese style. What follows is a brassy, dense, and verdant tea that shines with notes of pomegranate and orchid. Our ferment accentuates the complex tannic structure of the tea and brings it’s features together in an experience not unlike a skin-contact riesling. We aim for still, but there might be a little carbonation after a trip.
Think: peach skin, heart of palm, and wild flower.

We’re very much in love with these offerings, and we think you’ll see them in our main lineup sooner than later. But for now, they’ll live here with a VERY limited inventory. Get them while they last!
